About Us
1 in 5 young people in the UK experience a mental health challenge — yet most never receive support. Long waiting lists, stigma and a lack of accessible tools leave thousands struggling in silence.
That's why we exist. We provide free, evidence-based emotional intelligence training for young people aged 11–25 — equipping them with the skills to understand their emotions, build resilience and thrive before crisis strikes.

Our Mission
We equip young people from all backgrounds — especially those in underserved communities — with practical emotional intelligence skills. Our free workshops, digital resources and peer-support networks help build self-awareness, empathy and resilience before mental health challenges escalate.
Our Vision
We envision a future where emotional literacy is as valued as academic achievement. Where every school, community centre and home has the tools to nurture young people's mental wellbeing — and where asking for help is always met with understanding.
Our Impact
What Guides Us
Every resource we create starts with empathy. We listen to young people and build what they actually need.
Our tools are grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy, positive psychology and emotional intelligence research.
Peer support is at our core. Young people shape our programmes alongside clinical professionals.
We believe prevention is more powerful than cure. Building resilience before crisis strikes changes lives.
100% free resources with no sign-up barriers. Mental health support should never be locked behind a paywall.
We track outcomes rigorously to ensure our programmes genuinely improve emotional wellbeing for young people.
Our Journey
Help Mental Health was born from a simple belief: every young person deserves access to emotional intelligence tools, regardless of background.
Launched our EQ Toolkit in 10 secondary schools across the UK, reaching over 2,000 students in the first term.
Partnered with local councils and youth organisations to deliver peer-support workshops and parent training sessions.
Released our free online resource hub with guided exercises, audio sessions and downloadable worksheets for self-guided learning.
Recognised by the NHS and leading mental health charities as a model for youth emotional intelligence programmes.
Whether you're a young person, parent, educator or supporter — there's a place for you here.
